A Small Guide To Printers

Do you need a new printer? Are you unsure of which type to buy? This is common because there are so many types out there that do different things. Below are some examples of printers.

One option you can think about is ink jet printers. To create the image that will appear on the paper, these ones use ink that has been iodized onto the page. For something different, try a laser printer. These produce images by using a laser beam. These use a drum, pool, toner, and a reservoir. The image gets onto the page by heat and pressure. They are very fast and they have cartridges that last a long time.

Also an option is light emitting diodes (LED) and liquid crystal displays (LCD). These use electro photographic technology. These create images by using a light source. The only real difference between them is that the LED ones use light emissions to charge the drum and the LCD ones use liquid crystals to charge the drum.

Some people prefer the solid ink models. These ones use ink sticks made of wax. These sticks are liquefied into reservoirs and are them transferred onto the drum. From there it is fused onto the paper. This type is more simple than others. It has fewer components and produces color very well.

If you plan on printing projects like graphic art and photographs, then a dye sublimation one may be the one to get. These control how much ink will be transferred to the pages by using heat. The colors are quite precise. These do not use standard paper, instead they use more expensive paper.

Now that you know about printers and what types do what, you can decide which one is right for you. There are many factors to consider so make a decision on what kind of things you plan on printing.
